The Nike SB Dunk Low "Stingwater Magic Mushroom" is a standout collaboration between Nike SB and Daniel Kim's skate brand, Stingwater. Released on May 10, 2021, this unique sneaker draws inspiration from the psychedelic aesthetics of mushrooms, particularly the Amanita muscaria. The upper features a bold University Red leather base, overlaid with white safari-print accents that mimic the spotted cap of a mushroom. A translucent jewel Swoosh adorns the lateral side, accompanied by Stingwater branding in a playful, scrambled font. The heel showcases inverted "Nike" embroidery, adding to the shoe's unconventional design. Inside, the cream corduroy lining resembles mushroom gills, and a hidden zippered pocket is concealed within the translucent tongue. The insoles carry the message "Please don't step on me, I'm trying to GROE," emphasizing the theme of growth and transformation. Underfoot, a translucent icy outsole reveals the phrases "PLANT EMOJI" and "WITH EYES," further enhancing the sneaker's whimsical narrative. This pre-owned pair is in good condition, exhibiting minor signs of wear such as slight creasing and outsole discoloration, typical for its age. Despite these signs of use, the structural integrity and overall appearance remain intact, making it a valuable addition to any sneaker collection. Whether you're a longtime Dunk enthusiast or new to the brand, the "Magic Mushroom" offers a unique blend of heritage and bold design, capturing a significant chapter in sneaker history.
