The Rothco Folding Camp Stool is a compact, portable seat built from 600D polyester and PVC, suited for camping, backpacking, and outdoor events. It supports up to 176 lbs. (80 kg) and folds down to 11 x 9 x 1.5 inches for storage. Available in Black, Woodland Camo, Olive Drab, and Coyote Brown, each stool ships with a matching carrying case.

Folds Flat, Packs Fast

The Rothco Folding Camp Stool collapses to 11 x 9 x 1.5 inches when closed and slides into its included matching carrying case. That closed profile fits into the side pocket of most backpacks or tucks flat at the bottom of a pack, leaving the bulk of your storage free for gear that cannot compress.

600D Polyester Seat, PVC Frame

The seat is woven from 600D polyester, a denier weight that resists abrasion and holds its shape through repeated folding cycles. The PVC frame provides the structural support behind the 176 lb. (80 kg) weight rating, keeping the stool stable on uneven ground without adding meaningful bulk to a loaded pack.

Four Colors, One Weight

Black, Woodland Camo, Olive Drab, and Coyote Brown are all available, and each variant shares the same 2 lb. weight and identical dimensions. The camo and earth-tone variants blend into field and woodland settings; Black suits stadium and urban use. Each variant carries its own SKU and ships with a color-matched carrying case.

Who This Is For and Isn't

The Rothco Folding Camp Stool suits backpackers, campers, hunters, and spectators who need a lightweight, packable seat they can carry all day and deploy in seconds. This stool is not designed for users over 176 lbs. (80 kg). It is not a chair with back support and provides no lumbar or armrest structure. It is not rated for use as a step stool or load-bearing platform beyond its seating function.

Common Questions

What are the stool's dimensions when open and when folded?

The Rothco Folding Camp Stool opens to 14 x 14 x 8 inches and folds down to 11 x 9 x 1.5 inches. The folded size fits easily into a pack side pocket or the included carrying case, making the stool straightforward to transport between campsites or events.

What is the weight limit?

The Rothco Folding Camp Stool is rated to support up to 176 lbs. (80 kg). This rating applies to all four color variants. Users above that weight should not use this stool, as exceeding the rated capacity can compromise the frame.

Does the stool come with a carrying case?

A matching carrying case is included with the Rothco Folding Camp Stool. The case is color-matched to the variant ordered (Black, Woodland Camo, Olive Drab, or Coyote Brown) and holds the stool at its folded dimensions of 11 x 9 x 1.5 inches.

What materials is the stool made from?

The Rothco Folding Camp Stool uses a 600D polyester seat and a PVC frame. The 600D denier weave resists abrasion under regular outdoor use, and the PVC frame provides the structural support behind the 176 lb. weight rating.

Is the stool available in different colors?

The Rothco Folding Camp Stool is available in four colors: Black, Woodland Camo, Olive Drab, and Coyote Brown. All four share the same weight, dimensions, and weight capacity. Select your preferred color at checkout; each ships with a color-matched carrying case.
