The Rothco Deluxe Folding Camp Stool is a portable, back-supported camp chair built on a metal frame with a large storage pouch mounted beneath the seat. Designed for sporting events, hunting, camping, and general outdoor use, it folds flat for easy transport and storage. Available in Black, Woodland Camo, and Coyote Brown.

Back Support for Extended Sitting

Many folding camp stools are backless, which limits how long a person can comfortably sit on them. The Rothco Deluxe Folding Camp Stool includes a full back, giving the user lumbar support during longer stretches at a game, a blind, or a campsite. The polyester seat and back fabric is stretched over the metal frame to maintain shape under load.

Storage Pouch Keeps Essentials at Hand

A large storage pouch is integrated beneath the seat, providing a dedicated space for items a user wants close by (calls, snacks, a rangefinder, or a first-aid kit) without needing a separate bag. Because the pouch is part of the stool's frame, it folds away with the chair and does not need to be packed separately.

Folds Flat for Transport

The stool's metal frame collapses to a compact form, making it straightforward to carry to a stadium, load into a truck bed, or stow in a pack. At 3.3 lb, it adds minimal weight to a day's kit. The 29" x 15" x 12" open dimensions provide a stable, full-sized seat despite the folded footprint.

Who This Is For and Isn't

This stool suits hunters, campers, spectators, and outdoor enthusiasts who want a lightweight, back-supported seat they can carry to the field, a game, or a campsite and keep small essentials within reach without a separate bag.

This is not a heavy-duty work stool or a chair rated for high-load applications; no maximum weight capacity is stated in the product data. It is not a backless stool: buyers who prefer a minimalist, packable design without a back may want to compare other options.

Common Questions

What activities is this stool designed for?

The Rothco Deluxe Folding Camp Stool is designed for sporting events, hunting, camping, and general outdoor activities. Its back support and integrated storage pouch make it particularly useful in situations where a user will be seated for an extended period and wants small essentials (calls, snacks, or gear) within arm's reach.

Does the stool have a back, or is it a backless camp stool?

The Rothco Deluxe Folding Camp Stool includes a full back, which distinguishes it from standard backless camp stools. The back is part of the folding frame and collapses with the rest of the chair, so it does not add a separate piece to manage during transport.

What is the storage pouch like, and what fits in it?

The storage pouch is mounted beneath the seat and is described as large enough to hold essentials. It is made of the same polyester fabric as the seat and back. Exact pouch dimensions and stated capacity are not provided, so buyers with specific storage needs should verify fit before purchase.

How compact does the stool fold, and how heavy is it?

The Rothco Deluxe Folding Camp Stool weighs 3.3 lb and opens to 29" x 15" x 12". It folds flat for easy transport; exact folded dimensions are not stated. The metal frame and polyester fabric keep the overall weight low for a back-supported camp chair.

What colors are available?

The Rothco Deluxe Folding Camp Stool is available in three colors: Black, Woodland Camo, and Coyote Brown. All three variants share the same 3.3 lb weight and 29" x 15" x 12" open dimensions.
