Calcium helps your female have effective uterine contractions during birth. Ineffective contractions can lead to complications. Application of calcium is key. Giving calcium to early can run the risk of a female fine-tuning her milk production. Once your female is in labor supplementation is highly recommended. 3 or 4 doses (1cc per dose) before the first puppy, repeat dosage after first puppy, and use as needed if labor slows. What is so amazing about Calcium Paste is it does not have to be swolled to be absorbed. You do not need a measuring device it is built into it.

Canine Whelping Calcium Paste combines Calcium Propionate, Calcium Lactate and Vitamin D3 for better calcium absorption. This formula is a new, improved blend that is easier on the stomach while providing calcium to the breeding bitch.
