Brooklyn, New York — Photographer John Rogers announces the release of his newest book, The Scene Changes, a continuation of the visual landscape he showcased in his previous book, New York Is Now. Entirely rooted in street photography, the new book expands Rogers’ ongoing exploration of immediacy, movement, and the emotional undercurrent of everyday life, while also including a small selection of intimate portraits of musician friends.

The Scene Changes builds on the momentum of New York Is Now, seven photographs from which were acquired last year by the Museum of the City of New York as part of a larger acquisition of ten of Rogers’ works for their permanent collection. That institutional recognition marked a significant milestone in Rogers’ evolving documentation of contemporary urban life.
