A reliable pair of trauma shears is one of the most overlooked—but essential—pieces of first aid gear. When someone’s injured, clothing can get in the way of diagnosing and treating the problem fast. That’s why every solid trauma kit needs a good set of shears—and just as importantly, a way to access them quickly. Enter the Trauma Shear Emergency Pouch.

This pouch is backed with Velcro so you can stick it wherever you need it, and it’ll stay put. We like mounting it to the outside of our Small First Aid Kit, right alongside the tourniquet on the bottom of the pouch for fast, one-handed access. It also fits seamlessly inside our Velcro-lined bags like the Medium and Large First Aid Kits, or the Chest Pack. Prefer it in your vehicle? It pairs perfectly with our Velcro Visor Panel or MOLLE Seatback Panels. Even outside of emergencies, trauma shears come in handy—cutting tape, trimming bandages, or anytime you need a precise, tough edge.
