The Waco Est. 1849 Mug is the kind of piece that feels connected to a place without sitting unused on a shelf. It brings the city’s founding year into a ceramic form made for coffee, tea, cocoa, and the small daily routines that make a favorite mug part of home.

Handmade at Black Oak Art, each mug has its own slight differences in shape, glaze, and finish. Those details give the piece a more grounded, personal feel than a standard printed cup, while the design keeps it simple enough for everyday use.

It works well as a hometown keepsake, a gift for someone with Waco ties, a useful addition to a shop display, or a ceramic piece for anyone who prefers functional pottery with a sense of place. Customers can pick up locally at our studio or order online for shipping across the United States.
