A cashmere crewneck with real weight behind it.
The Ewan is the classic crewneck, built heavier. It is knitted in Hawick, Scotland from 100% Todd & Duncan Grade A cashmere, spun in Kinross, using six ends of 2/28 yarn knitted at 3 gauge. Pick it up and you feel the difference straight away.
The ribbed collar is the quiet hero: built to hold its shape, yet soft enough to wear against bare skin. No sagging, no fuss. Raglan sleeves give easy movement through the shoulder, and ribbed cuffs and hem balance the weight.
It is warm the way a heavy wool sweater is warm, without the stiffness.
Six ends of yarn make a far denser fabric than the 2-ply cashmere most people own. That means more warmth, more structure and a sweater that keeps its shape.
The 3-gauge knit is deliberately chunky, giving the Ewan a deeper texture than a fine-gauge knit. Long, fine Grade A fiber is what lets us build that weight without losing softness. See how ply and gauge change the weight and feel of cashmere.
Relaxed but not oversized. The raglan sleeve follows the shoulder and moves easily, while the heavier knit holds its shape through the body. If you are between sizes, the models below are a useful guide.
Tim (pictured in Peat) is 6'1" and wears a size Medium. He wears a 42R jacket.
Todd, our co-founder, is 5'10", 165 lb and wears a size Small. He wears a 40R jacket.
Cold weekends, travel and winter layering, with denim, chinos or under a topcoat. For anyone who wants a simple crewneck with a lot more to it.

Six-ply Scottish cashmere. Nothing unnecessary.
