The Speeder 300 is a fast, light flat-bar bike that shares many of its genes with road bikes. Its sporty geometry puts you in a more upright position than a drop-bar road bike, so you get road-bike style and efficiency with extra comfort.

Merida uses the same triple-butted 6066 aluminium as its road bikes, hydroformed to tune the frame for a comfortable, responsive ride, and a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer delivers precise steering and a smooth front end. The upright position, flat bar and powerful hydraulic disc brakes are ideal for commuting, giving more control and a better view of traffic.

For versatility, the frame takes tyres up to 35mm, or 32mm with mudguards fitted.
