The eBig Tour 400 is the cycling equivalent of an SUV: stylish, practical and ready for just about anything. Its 29" wheels roll effortlessly, and the fast, grippy 2.2" Kenda Booster tyres fit neatly inside the full-length mudguards for year-round riding.

The dropped top tube gives a really low standover height, making it easy to get on and off and helping you feel more confident on the bike. Power comes from Shimano's EP6 motor with 85Nm of torque and a 630Wh battery integrated into the frame. Technical touches from Merida's award-winning eOne-Sixty carry over too, including a satellite charging socket, a double-compound battery compartment cover and a neat bottle boss system with tidy cable routing.

It comes fully equipped for everyday use, with reflective tyres, a rack with an integrated rear light, a Lezyne front light, an integrated frame lock and a kickstand. A 100mm SR Suntour fork smooths out rough surfaces, and the Shimano Cues drivetrain and hydraulic disc brakes are reliable and easy to live with.
