Nothing seals a track pump like leather. Silca has sourced its piston gaskets from the same Milan leather converter since the 1960s, using offcuts left over from luxury handbags, Italian car interiors and high-end luggage, each one trimmed and pressure-formed on a small press. The result is a smooth, zero-stiction stroke that no O-ring can match, and unlike an O-ring it keeps sealing when the barrel heats up after pumping several wheels.
