The Unit X is hard to categorise and all the better for it. It's a rigid steel 29er that's equally at home on local singletrack, a multi-day bikepacking trip or a long gravel loop, and it has earned a loyal following among riders who value simplicity and versatility over suspension.
The frame is Reynolds 520 butted Cromoly, paired with the Kona Plus rigid fork, for a lively, comfortable ride that soaks up miles. Modular dropouts mean you can run it single-speed if you prefer, and there's plenty of scope for bags and bottles. Shimano Deore 12-speed with a 10-51t cassette gives a huge gear range for loaded climbs, and Shimano MT410 hydraulic brakes keep things in check.
Big 29x2.6" Maxxis Rekon tyres on wide WTB ST i30 rims add grip and comfort, taking the edge off rough ground without the weight or upkeep of a suspension fork. For 2027 it comes in a new Silver finish.
