The Sutra is a modern take on the classic touring bike, and it arrives ready for the long haul. A butted Cromoly steel frame and Project Two touring fork give the smooth, forgiving ride that steel is loved for, and the frame is happy carrying a load, whether that's a commute, a weekend away or a cross-country tour.
This Shimano build pairs a CUES 2x10 drivetrain, with 32/46t rings and an 11-39t cassette, with CUES hydraulic disc brakes on 180mm rotors, so you get easy gearing for loaded climbs and dependable stopping in all weathers. Schwalbe Marathon Mondial 700x40c tyres are tough and puncture-resistant, rolling on WTB i25 rims and Formula thru-axle hubs.
It's properly kitted out from day one: full fenders with mudflaps, a Tubus Tara Big Apple low-rider front rack, a Brooks B17 leather saddle and matching brown microfibre bar tape. All that's left to do is pack.
