The Tracker 20" is the point where kids move from simply riding bikes to properly mountain biking. It is the first bike in the Nukeproof Tracker kids range to get gears, and it is set up to tackle real trails rather than just the pavement.
A 1x8 Microshift Acolyte drivetrain with an 11-38T cassette gives a useful spread of gears for climbing and cruising, and the single shifter keeps things simple for riders new to gears. Stopping power comes from Tektro MDM300 Aries disc brakes front and rear, with kids-optimised JL-510RS levers that are easy for smaller hands to reach and control.
The 6061 alloy frame and fork keep weight down and stand up to the knocks that come with learning, while the grown-up cockpit - a 740mm wide, 30mm rise bar on a 31.8mm stem - gives plenty of control on descents. The big-volume Nukeproof x Vee Crown Gem 20x2.6 tyres are a smart choice on a rigid bike, adding grip and cushioning on rough ground and roots.
