Thirty six wooden coins in twelve rainbow colours make up this Grapat set, winner of a Spiel Gut award and made from beech that is PEFC certified in Spain.
The coins arrive in an equal mix, three of each colour, flat wooden discs that sit neatly in small hands. A little one sorts them into colour groups, stacks them into little towers or lines them up in rows across the rug. They pair just as easily with other Grapat loose parts, tucked under a Nin or dropped into a cup, or they stand alone as their own set of 36 coins. These are pieces loved by Montessori and Waldorf settings, used for counting, colour matching and stacking games, and a child returns to them again and again, building a new arrangement each time.
At BeoVERDE, we love that the coins can be sorted into neat rainbow rows one afternoon and mixed back into loose parts play the next.
