Why choose Pearl over the baselogic™ Gold?
Pearl keeps Gold's everyday features, from the wireless remote and zero-gravity preset to memory presets, underbed lighting, massage and USB charging, then adds a motorized lumbar support bar for extra lower-back support. If you need a split-head size, look at Gold instead.
What is the weight limit?
Pearl supports up to 750 lbs total, counting the mattress and bedding, as long as weight is spread evenly.
Does it replace my box spring?
Yes. An adjustable base is used in place of a box spring or foundation, so your mattress sits directly on it.
Which mattresses can I use?
Pearl is compatible with Serta® mattresses. If you have a mattress from another brand, check with its manufacturer that it is suitable for an adjustable base.
Should I get a King or a Split King?
Choose King if you and your partner are happy moving together on one 76" x 80" base. Choose Split King, two Twin XL bases with two Twin XL mattresses, if you each want independent positions and massage; the bases can also be synced to move as one.
Does it work with a headboard?
Yes, using optional headboard brackets that are sold separately. There is no wall-hugger feature.
How hard is setup?
Setup takes a few steps: unfold the base, hand-tighten the legs, flip it upright with a helper, insert the retainer bar and plug it in. A surge protector is recommended.
