What makes the baselogic™ Pearl different from Gold?
Pearl shares Gold's core features, including a wireless remote, zero gravity, memory presets, underbed lighting, massage and USB-A/USB-C ports, and adds an adjustable lumbar support bar for targeted lower-back support. Gold is also offered in split-head sizes; Pearl is not.
How much weight can the Pearl base hold?
It is rated for 750 lbs combined, including the mattress and bedding, when weight is evenly distributed across the base.
Do I still need a box spring or foundation?
No. The adjustable base takes the place of a box spring or foundation. Set your mattress directly on the base.
Will my mattress work on it?
Beautyrest® mattresses are compatible with Pearl. For mattresses from other brands, confirm with the manufacturer that the mattress is adjustable-base friendly.
What is the difference between King and Split King?
King is one 76" x 80" base that moves as a single unit. Split King is two Twin XL bases placed side by side, so each sleeper can set their own position, or sync the two bases with the included cord to move together. It uses two Twin XL mattresses.
Can I attach a headboard?
Yes, with optional headboard brackets sold separately. Pearl does not have a wall-hugger feature.
Is assembly required?
Yes. The base unfolds, the legs thread in by hand and the retainer bar pops into place. Two people are needed to flip and position the base.
