This vintage authentic dzi bead has one big eye, referred to as "Earth Door, Sky Door" and has the door and banding on the other side of this agate bead. Handmade about 50 years ago, this is a replica of an ancient dzi bead, a Himalayan sacred protective bead. These have applied banding and designs through a complex process and are very collectible. This tapered bead measures 13mm diameter x 57mm long with a nice 2mm hole for thicker cord. With some translucence, very smooth to the touch. Beautiful and in excellent condition!
