Bright Blue Agate Doublet Teardrop Necklace

This blue agate doublet has that wonderful mix of bright turquoise blue with smoky gray and white drifting through the stone. I hand soldered the teardrop shaped setting and finished it in silver, keeping the frame simple so all that color gets the attention. It's one of those stones where the pattern almost looks like water, clouds or a little landscape depending on how you look at it. An easy everyday necklace and a beautiful gift for someone who loves blue jewelry and natural stone. Handmade in my home studio.

Artisan Handmade Process

My medium is the Tiffany-style stained glass technique, combining glass, gemstones, and other materials using the copper foil method. My metalwork features a blend of tin, silver, copper, and brass, all safe for sensitive skin. Instead of torch soldering, I use a soldering iron, which gives me more flexibility to create a diverse variety of organic designs.
