The recall line, but done the Ruffwear way - twenty feet of Tubelok webbing, lightweight, handleless, with a carabiner that locks.
Details
Twenty feet of freedom, with a line back to you.
Some dogs are built for more. More ground to cover, more to investigate, more world to take in. A long line makes more possible.
We've used long lines with explorers and with puppies finding their feet in the world. With dogs who needed the freedom to roam and the quiet reassurance of still being connected. With Orla, learning recall in new places, testing boundaries, working out where safe ends and adventure begins. The long line is the thing that lets you say yes more often.
The Rogue is built for exactly this. Twenty feet of Ruffwear's lightweight Tubelok webbing, and a lockable screwgate carabiner that's significantly stronger than the clips you'll find on most long lines - important when a dog hits the end of the line at full speed. There's no handle either, which is the point: it trails flat on the ground, no loop to catch on a tree root or snag mid-run. If you want the option to stop it, a dog trainer's trick worth knowing - tie a couple of loose knots along the line, place your foot over it, and the knot bumps against your foot rather than slipping through. A gentle, controlled stop.
And if you're finding it difficult to choose between colours - our personal favourite is Blaze Orange. Visible in long grass, visible to other dog owners, visible to you at a glance. You'll never lose it, never trip on it, never wonder where it's gone.
Pair it with the Ruffwear Front Range Harness in Blaze Orange for a full high-visibility setup.
