Mountain Goats: Legacy turns Allplay's quick dice-racing game into a ten-chapter campaign. Each turn you roll your dice and combine them into groups to move your goats up the mountain paths. Only one goat fits on a summit, so reaching the top early is risky — the longer you hold it before someone butts you off, the more you score.
Rolling the goat symbol activates abilities that rotate from mission to mission. As the story advances you unlock stronger powers and face harder mountains, and the terrain itself changes: boulders, icy steps, an avalanche, a river, and a yeti all enter play as the campaign goes on.
The box includes mountain path cards, mountain top boards, goat d6 dice, goat meeples, an ability board and ability cards, scoring and bonus point cards, courage tracks, bloom cards and tokens, sleds, a memory box with secret envelopes, and an adventure guide.
Plays 2-5 players in about 25 minutes per session, ages 7 and up. It works as a standalone game or as a legacy campaign — nothing is destroyed or permanently modified, so the whole campaign can be reset and replayed or handed to another group.
