In Enchanted Ivy you play as Ivy, the new owner of a magical inn, building out a bed-and-breakfast one room at a time. Each turn you place a card into your growing grid and assign guests to it, then trail magical ivy vines across the walls to link the rooms together.
Every guest card carries its own preference — diagonally adjacent, same row, surrounded, and so on — and those conditions are checked at the end of the game. The puzzle is fitting the grid, the guests and the vines together so as many preferences as possible are satisfied at once.
The box includes 20 ivy cards, 30 guest cards, an ivy scoring card, 36 guest tokens, a draw bag, a starting door token, 6 unlockable secret doors, a storybook, 2 sticker sheets, and a keepsake conservatory board. The storybook holds a series of scenarios with point goals and special challenges; clearing them unlocks permanent and temporary bonuses that carry into later games, plus an endless mode for free play.
Designed for 1 player, ages 10 and up, with games running about 15 to 20 minutes.
