EDITH is an eclectic collage of updated 19th- and 20th-century classical and neoclassical motifs found in Schumacher’s archive. Shells, winged creatures encrusted with jewels, pearl swags, and Cherubs playing the lyre are graphically illustrated and rotary printed in a matte finish to create this mid-scale trellis design. Named after the literary and style icon Edith Wharton, a long-time Schumacher client turned collaborator, this deeply referential design is rooted in history with a modern, offbeat glamour.
