This original Family Dog postcard (FD-42) announces a January concert featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service, The Miller Blues Band, and The Other Half at San Francisco's legendary Avalon Ballroom. Designed by Moscoso, the piece exemplifies the organic, flowing aesthetic that defined the San Francisco psychedelic poster movement.

The central image depicts a dancing figure in elaborate costume, surrounded by sinuous Art Nouveau-influenced swirls in a vibrant palette of gold, coral, magenta, and blue. The text flows organically through the composition, integrating band names and venue information into a unified visual experience. The verso reveals a contemporary postmark from January 1967, providing exceptional provenance for this piece of counterculture history.

A standout piece for collectors of psychedelic ephemera, this postcard captures the creative energy of San Francisco at the dawn of the Summer of Love, when the Avalon Ballroom was nurturing a revolution in American rock music.
