Arminski, the Detroit-area artist who helped define the 1990s gig poster revival, borrows the visual vocabulary of the Victorian circus bill: cameo portraits in oval frames, scrolled ribbon banners, and a mustached strongman hoisting a globe barbell beneath a red and blue big top.

The result transforms an arena concert into a feat of showmanship. Bold yellow headline type, diagonal slogans promising a show both 'Spectacular' and 'Exciting', and a woodcut-flavored halftone figure give the piece a playful nostalgia that bridges the folk revival generation and the irreverent graphic culture of the late 1990s. Credited to Arminski in the margin and printed by Dorris Bros Graphics of Clawson, Michigan, it carries the full period apparatus of promoter, sponsor and ticketing credits.

A standout piece for Dylan and Simon devotees and for anyone who appreciates how the modern rock poster movement reimagined vintage commercial art.
