A pink giant gulps down a steam train in this gleefully absurd design by Greg Irons, created for a four-night run at Bill Graham's Fillmore West. The joke is right there in the billing: Buddy Miles Express, served up as a literal express train vanishing down a colossal throat. Above it all, swollen psychedelic lettering announces headliners Procol Harum, with Blues Image rounding out the bill and the Brotherhood of Light providing the light show.

Printed by Tea Lautrec Litho in San Francisco as part of the numbered Bill Graham series, this postcard captures Irons in transition. His dense pen hatching and comic grotesquerie point toward the underground comix work that would define his later career. The palette of hot magenta, violet night sky, and acid green type is pure late 1960s San Francisco.

The back carries the Fillmore West Market Street address and a stamp box, a reminder that these cards were mailed to fans and handed out at record shops. A standout piece for collectors of the Bill Graham series and devotees of Irons' singular imagination.
