This is a good example of the basketry of the Northern California coastal area. It has a pleasing globular shape with a design of a triangular forms in red woodwardia fern with four triangular points on each side. This design alternates between having its base down or having its base at the top. The basket is well woven with an even surface. It doesn't have any splits or cracks but the top of the rim has a ⅜" wide rough area. The basket reads well and will look good on a shelf or in a collection.
