44% more filtration media. Built for tougher conditions.

The Daily Essential+ (SF500) is our most heavy-duty shower filter. Designed for households where water quality is a genuine concern – whether that's high chlorine levels, sediment-heavy water, or sensitivity to everyday contaminants – it works harder than a standard filter so you don't have to think about it. Upgraded no-leak seals, removable sediment guards and a universal adapter are all included.

Multi-stage filtration, every stage considered

Every layer in the Daily Essential+ serves a purpose. There are no fillers and no unnecessary complexity:

Sand filters block large sediments including loose mineral deposits
Ultra-fine stainless steel mesh captures medium-sized particles
Micro-porous PP cotton traps fine sediments, dust and impurities
Calcium sulfite helps to reduce chlorine in both hot and cold water
Redox media further helps to reduce chlorine and catches additional deposits
Activated carbon (coconut shell) helps to reduce chlorine and organic impurities
PP cotton and stainless steel mesh prevents any filtered media from re-entering your water

Designed with sensitive skin in mind

Chlorine and sediment in everyday shower water may contribute to dry, irritated or reactive skin over time. The Daily Essential+ Shower Filter (SF500) is formulated with sensitive and eczema-prone skin in mind – fewer contaminants in your water means a kinder daily routine for your skin and scalp. Many customers with sensitive skin report feeling a noticeable difference with regular use.

Maintains full water pressure

Heavy-duty filtration shouldn't mean a weaker shower. The Daily Essential+ (SF500) is designed to maintain full water flow throughout – consistent pressure for every shower.

Universal fit, installed in minutes

Standard ½" connections plus an included adapter means the Daily Essential+ fits all standard fixed, rain, handheld and combo shower heads. No tools, no plumber. If you can twist a jar lid, you can install it. Simple installation shaped by real people, living real lives. The full installation guide can be downloaded here.

Want Vitamin C and mineral infusion alongside heavy-duty filtration? The Daily Revitalize+ Shower Filter (SF400) adds a double dose of Vitamin C and minerals in a similar housing.

What Does the SF500 Daily Essential+ Shower Filter Reduce in Shower Water?

Depending on your local supply, the water coming through your shower head can carry more than you’d expect: chlorine used for disinfection, sediment and fine particles, and organic impurities. The Aquabliss SF500 Daily Essential+ Shower Filter was developed to reduce these before they reach your skin and hair, using several filtration media that work together, each targeting a different type of impurity.

If your water has a noticeable chlorine smell or heavy sediment, the Daily Essential+ is built for those tougher conditions. It holds 44% more filter media than standard shower filters and comes with two removable sediment guards.

Chlorine

Chlorine is used to disinfect public water supplies and keep water safe as it travels through the distribution system, which means it’s in your shower water too. You may not notice it until the water heats up and that familiar pool-like smell rises with the steam.

The Daily Essential+ (SF500) uses twice-strength calcium sulfite, redox media and coconut shell activated carbon to reduce chlorine in both hot and cold water. The aim isn’t to undo water disinfection. It’s to reduce how much chlorine reaches your skin and hair every time you shower.

If you regularly notice a chlorine smell in the shower, or your skin feels dry afterwards, the SF500 Daily Essential+ Shower Filter is a good place to start. Reducing chlorine and other impurities may support skin comfort with regular use.

Sediment, Sand & Fine Particles

Not every impurity is dissolved. Some are physical particles: sand, loose mineral deposits, dust and other sediment. The Daily Essential+ (SF500) traps them in stages. Two removable sediment guards catch the largest particles first, ultra-fine stainless-steel mesh captures medium-sized particles, and micro-porous PP cotton traps the finest sediment and dust. The sediment guards rinse clean in seconds and can be replaced as they load up.

For homes with heavy sediment, the SF500 is the filter we recommend. It’s one of only two models in the Aquabliss range designed for heavy sediment, alongside the Aquabliss SF400 Daily Revitalize+ Shower Filter.

THMs & Organic Impurities

When chlorine reacts with naturally occurring organic matter in water, it can form compounds called trihalomethanes (THMs). Water suppliers monitor THM levels, but some can remain in treated water.

The Daily Essential+ (SF500) uses coconut shell activated carbon, a higher-grade source than standard carbon, to reduce THMs, chlorine and other organic impurities and odors. Paired with its physical filtration stages, it covers both particles and dissolved impurities.

Why Does the SF500 Daily Essential+ Use Multiple Filtration Media?

Each impurity needs a different approach. Mesh catches particles but can’t do the job of activated carbon, and media designed to reduce chlorine won’t catch sediment. That’s why the Daily Essential+ combines several filtration media rather than relying on one:

Sediment guards, stainless-steel mesh and PP cotton to catch larger and finer particles.
Twice-strength calcium sulfite, redox media and coconut shell activated carbon to reduce chlorine, THMs and organic impurities.
A final layer of PP cotton and stainless-steel mesh to help keep captured particles and filtration media from re-entering the water.

The result is thorough filtration that addresses several water-quality concerns at once, rather than focusing on a single contaminant.

Is the SF500 Daily Essential+ Right for Your Water?

The best shower filter isn’t the one with the longest feature list. It’s the one that matches your water. The Aquabliss SF500 Daily Essential+ Shower Filter may be the right fit if:

Your water has a noticeable chlorine smell.
You have sediment-heavy water and want extra particle filtration.
You’re concerned about more than one type of impurity.
Your current shower filter isn’t keeping up.
You want replaceable sediment guards to handle heavier sediment loads.

Not sure what’s in your water? Start with your local water-quality report or a water test. Knowing your main concern, whether that’s chlorine, sediment, metals, hardness or something else, points you to the right filter.

The Daily Essential+ filters the water at your shower head. It’s designed to reduce specific impurities, not remove every dissolved mineral or solve every household water-quality issue. For those, a whole-house water softener or a drinking-water filtration system may be more appropriate.
