Cascade Eco+ (Ecological Wool) is a bulky-weight yarn made from 100% Peruvian wool. It isn't superwash treated, and each generous 250g skein has 478 yards, often enough for a whole project. Knitters love it for warm sweaters, outerwear, cables, textured stitches, and felting.
Chunky sweaters and cardigans, cabled hats, cozy blankets and throws, felted bags and slippers, and quick holiday gifts.
Would you like us to wind your yarn? Just ask, and we'll happily wind your skein into a cake for you.
Is Cascade Eco+ superwash?
No. It's natural, untreated wool, so hand wash it cold. That's also why it felts so well.
Can I felt Cascade Eco+?
Yes. Because it's 100% untreated wool, it felts beautifully for bags, slippers, and bowls.
How many skeins do I need for a sweater?
At 478 yards per skein, many adult bulky sweaters take about 2 to 4 skeins, depending on size and pattern. Check the yardage on your pattern.
What needles should I use?
US 9–10 (5.5–6 mm) knitting needles, or a K–L (6.5–8.0 mm) crochet hook.
