How to Use

1. Remove oil, grease, and dirt from the surface. Wire-brush away flaky rust and loose scale; light, tightly-adhered surface rust can remain.
2. Apply a thin, even coat with a brush, sponge, or airless sprayer at 50°F to 90°F (10°C to 32°C).
3. Allow 15 to 30 minutes between coats. Apply a second coat if needed; do not exceed two coats.
4. Let the final coat dry a minimum of 24 hours before applying an oil-based or lacquer-based finish paint.

Important Limitations

Use in a well-ventilated area and wear gloves and eye protection; the formula is mildly acidic (pH approximately 1.95) and carries a mild acrylic odor. For iron and steel surfaces only; not intended for aluminum, galvanized metal, or other non-ferrous substrates. This product converts light, adherent surface rust and primes for a finish coat, it is not a structural repair, filler, or replacement for a corroded part. A finish coat of oil-based or lacquer-based paint is required for long-term protection; do not leave the converted surface unpainted outdoors. Protect from freezing in storage and keep containers tightly closed when not in use.
