LOCTITE® 243™ is a blue, general-purpose, medium-strength anaerobic threadlocker for locking and sealing threaded fasteners that require normal disassembly with standard hand tools. Its thixotropic formula reduces migration after application, provides robust cure on active and passive metals, and tolerates minor contamination from cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion, and protection oils. It is particularly suited to pumps, gearboxes, motors, vehicles, and other equipment exposed to shock and vibration.

• Compressive shear strength on steel pins and collars: greater than 7.6 N/mm² (1,100 psi)
• Glass transition temperature: 100°C
• Tested for cold strength to -75°C (-100°F)
