Cauley is a great choice for customers who enjoy heirloom fruit trees and want something with Southern roots. This apple is believed to have originated in Mississippi and was once grown throughout parts of the Southeast. The fruit is often large to very large, with greenish-yellow skin that can develop red blush and striping as it ripens.

The flesh is yellowish, crisp, juicy, and mild-flavored, making Cauley useful for fresh eating, cooking, baking, pies, applesauce, and old-fashioned apple recipes. It is a good option for gardeners who want a heritage apple with both eating and kitchen value.

Cauley Apple Trees are best suited for home orchards, edible landscapes, backyard fruit gardens, homesteads, and Southern fruit plantings where chill hours and bloom timing are suitable. Like most apple trees, Cauley needs full sun, good drainage, proper pruning, and a compatible apple nearby for best fruit set.
