After 6 days in the Tasmanian bush, we opted for the boat ride across Lake St Clair to round off an eye-opening 6 days on the Overland Track. Going as deep as 167m, Lake St Clair is Australia's deepest lake. The lake was mesmerizingly still and serene that afternoon, with the silence finally broken by the hum of the approaching ferry signaling the end of our adventure. Here's the view from the jetty at Narcissus Bay, having radioed for a ferry from Cynthia Bay and waiting for its arrival. More on the Overland Track adventure here.
