One last look at Tarfala Valley before leaving the valley to get on the Kungsleden.
In the 2 days preceding this, the clouds hung low, the sky remained dark, the wind and rain was unrelenting. I had to turn back on an intended route over the glaciers the day before as conditions worsened and I wasn't suitably equipped to cross the ice in low visibility. I was cold, drenched and worried about being behind schedule. I mapped a new route and started on my way out of the valley. I wondered what I would remember most of this cold, barren landscape. In the final steps out of the valley, I took a look back. Everything was set right. It was the view that drew me in, and just how I would have preferred to remember most of this elegant, stunning landscape.
