Now for the meet-cute couple backstory.

Diana was a city girl. Dusty was a country boy.

When Diana was in the area visiting her sister for her egg hatching, she was set up on a blind date. Before she knew it, she was meeting Dusty- a charming, dust covered country lad who showed up with wildflowers he'd picked himself from a nearby field on the way to meet her.

While she prefers roses, she was gracious enough. 

Until he took her to a fly-thru restaurant.

In his defense, the finches overwhelmingly recommended it. In their defense, the finches are naughty little birds who thought it would be hilarious.

Diana took one look at the 1903 established building and proceeded to inform Dusty that it was cheap, disgusting, and absolutely not where she intended to eat.

Dusty immediately flew off and started banging his head against a tree.

Diana was furious and tweeted, "What is wrong with you?"

What she didn't know was that Dusty wasn't having a temper tantrum. He was trying to get dinner. 

They're downy woodpeckers. That's what they do.

Communication: zero.

Chemistry: questionable.

Woodpecker behavior: completely normal.

Eventually, after both had calmed down and soaked in their own bird baths, they talked thing through and discovered perhaps their differences weren't quite as insurmountable as they first appeared. 

Diana likes air conditioning, civilized dining, and the comforts of the indoors.

Dusty like country living, identifying wildflowers, and listening to old John Denver records.

So, they have decided to give each other a chance.

Opposites Attract is about discovering the delights of air conditioning, acoustic guitar, and a love that doesn't mean finding someone who fits perfectly into your world. 

A gently accepting art piece for those who know what it means to find someone whose world is completely different and deciding to be with them anyway.
