The meaning

The front asks two things at once. Use your smile to change the world: kindness spreads, one person at a time. And don't let the world change your smile: stay yourself, even when the day tries to grind it out of you. The back is simple advice for big decisions and small ones: whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy.

On good days and hard days

• On good days, it reminds you to share your smile and spread a little kindness.
• On hard days, when the world tries to wear you down, it says: don't let it change your smile. Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes you happy.

Why a key tag

It is a small pick me up you see every time you start the car or unlock the door after a long shift. It carries the same artwork as the Smile Coin: a simple smiling face with the two lines around it on the front, and the quote inside a border of small points on the back.

Give it

It is a lovely thank you for a nurse, a teacher or a caregiver, and a cheerful birthday gift for a sister or a friend who always makes others smile. It is a small thing that brightens every day.

Specs

• Diameter: 1.54 in (39 mm)
• Thickness: 2.7 mm
• Weight: about 1 oz (28 g)
• Material: brass alloy, Antique Bronze finish
• Made: die struck, minted in the USA
• Each key tag is antiqued with a special patina so it looks like it has already been in circulation. The patina never settles the same way twice, so no two key tags look exactly alike. Small variations in color and shading are normal, and they are what make yours one of a kind.
• Key ring included

Questions

What does “don't let the world change your smile” mean?
Stay yourself and keep your kindness, even on the days that try to wear you down.

Is it a good thank you gift for a nurse or teacher?
Yes. It thanks the people whose smile does the most work, and reminds them not to let a hard day change it.

Is it the same design as the Smile Coin?
Yes, the artwork is the same on both sides. The key tag simply adds a loop so it can hang from your keys.

Will my key tag look exactly like the photos?
Very close, but never identical. Each key tag is antiqued with a special patina that settles differently every time, so small variations in color and shading from the photos are normal. They are what make yours one of a kind.

Care: keep it dry and wipe it with a soft cloth. No polishing needed; the aged finish is part of the look.
