Front: “Be grateful every day · Appreciate what you have”
Back: “Every man is the architect of his own fortune.”
In coin collecting, a mule is a coin struck with two dies that were never meant to go together. During one of our runs, the mint paired the front of our Gratitude Coin with the back of our Audentes Fortuna Iuvat Coin. Both sides came out crisp and complete; only the pairing was unplanned.
When we looked at the result, the two messages made sense together. So we named it Equilibrium and kept it.
One side asks you to be grateful every day and appreciate what you already have. The other reminds you that you build your own fortune. Lean too far toward the first and you settle; too far toward the second and nothing is ever enough. The coin holds both, which is the balance most of us are trying to find.
The front shows a lotus opening above still water, with the gratitude lines around it. The back sets the architect quote at the center of a maze pattern, a nod to the path you build yourself.
Carry it as a daily check: thankful for today, working on tomorrow. As a gift, it suits a collector who likes a coin with a story, a founder who never stops pushing, or a friend who needs reminding to enjoy what they have already built.
What is a mule coin?
A coin struck with a front and a back from two different designs. Mules happen by accident at the mint, which is why collectors look for them.
Is it a defect?
No. Both sides are fully struck and clear. The only difference from our other coins is that the two sides come from different designs.
Will you make more?
No. This pairing exists only because of that one run. When these are sold, there will be no more.
Where can I get the regular versions?
The Gratitude Coin and the Audentes Fortuna Iuvat Coin are both in the shop with their original sides.
Care: keep it dry and wipe it with a soft cloth. No polishing needed; the aged finish is part of the look.
