The Mokuzai Console draws its name from the Japanese tradition of timber craftsmanship, celebrating wood as both material and medium. Built upon substantial hand-sculpted wooden bases, this piece exemplifies the ancient art of wood carving a discipline that harmonizes nature's untamed character with the deliberate vision of the artisan. Each console becomes a dialogue between organic form and human intention, where the grain and texture of solid wood reveal the maker's intimate understanding of their material, resulting in furniture that transcends utility to become sculptural expression.
