Choose aluminum or plastic above. Aluminum is the heavier-duty choice for daily use, and plastic is lighter, less expensive and the one NaceCare lists for the AVB 4X.

• Aluminum (1110APE). The heavier-duty tool for daily commercial use. Fits the TP 8X, TP 18SX, AVB 9X and the AV walk-behinds. NaceCare doesn't list it for the AVB 4X.

• Plastic (1112PPE). Lighter and less expensive, and the one NaceCare lists for the AVB 4X. It's also the hand tool in the AV 4X hose and hand tool package, and it takes the yellow low-moisture jet from the Smart Kit.

Check the fabric's cleaning code first. Fabrics marked S are solvent-only and shouldn't get water, and wool needs cold water only. Test a hidden spot, spray lightly and make extra dry passes, because over-wetting upholstery is how you get browning and slow drying.
