The Scent

How to Use It

Light the tip, let it flame for a few seconds, then blow it out so the ember glows. Stand it in an ash catcher, or push the bare end into a bowl of sand or rice, and open a window a crack — incense is meant to drift, not fill. Never leave it burning unattended; keep it away from curtains, children and pets.

In Tradition

The Seven African Powers are Eleguá, Ogún, Ochosi, Obatalá, Yemayá, Oshún and Changó. Sacred Crystals carries Sun's Eye oils for several of them; the incense is the way to greet all seven together.
