The kit is built around our Story, Play, Support model, which complements each program's current structure and offers concrete products, tools, and training to help families navigate big emotions together.

Kids learn best through story and play. We offer storylines children can relate to, with characters they see themselves in and connect with. Through these stories, the characters model how to name a feeling and show kids that it's okay to have big feelings.

From there, learning moves into play. The plush characters help children bring Team Supercrew into their imaginary play. The Reading and Play Guide shows home visitors how to help caregivers support that learning at home. The plush are also a great source of comfort and perfect for cuddles.

Then comes support. The SOS Kit offers 83 emotional regulation strategies for different ages and developmental needs, because we all regulate in different ways. Home visitors and families practice them together during the visit. The Feelings Chart and Calm Down Chart then help families keep using those strategies when big emotions come up between visits.
