The Unique Crafting Process

What sets a Bagru saree apart is the intensive, labor-of-love printing method, which often includes a technique called Dabu.

Carving & Prepping: Artisans hand-carve intricate designs onto wooden blocks.
Mud Resist (Dabu): A paste of clay, gum, and other materials is stamped onto the fabric to "resist" the dye, allowing only specific areas to take on color.
Dyeing & Sun Drying: The fabric is dyed, washed to remove the hardened mud, and repeatedly dried under the blazing Rajasthani sun.
