Six Zero Boulder Opal 14mm — Power Dwell RCS
Six Zero built Black Opal to hit hard. Boulder Opal is the sibling paddle tuned the other direction — same Next Gem platform, same build pedigree, but with a wider power band, longer dwell, and a response that does what you meant it to do more often. USAP approved and legal for sanctioned play.
Best For
Players who want a control-first paddle that still has the pop to close a point. If Black Opal — or anything like it — has ever felt too hot off the face, this is Six Zero's answer. The Shock Shield handle also makes it worth a look if you're playing through arm fatigue or tennis elbow.
Skill Level & Play Style
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Play Style: Control-leaning all-court — long dwell, heavy spin, forgiving off-center, pop on demand
Why Players Like It
- Wide power band. Control, forgiveness, and vibration dampening reach well past dead center — not just the sweet spot.
- G4 Aerospace solid foam core. Keeps the profile thin at 14mm while stretching dwell time. That's where the pocketing feel comes from.
- SharkSkin surface. Aluminum oxide worked into the face for heavy, repeatable spin — and built to hold that texture rather than sand off in a month.
- Power Gel layer. Returns energy on drives and put-aways without forcing you to overswing.
- Shock Shield handle. Silicone injected into the handle to cut vibration and clean up feedback.
- Resets that stay connected. Long dwell and real ball pocketing under pressure instead of a squirty face.
