Your puzzle was made to last for generations - let's get it restored.
We make replacement pieces for PUZZLE PEOPLE wooden puzzles.
You need to order and pay $7 for EACH piece you are requesting. Once the order is made we will send you our address, and you will make a rubbing and mail it to us. --> A rubbing is the only accurate way to get a pattern for your replacement piece. We will send you our address .
For a map, or other picture puzzle:
- Assemble the puzzle.
- Put a piece of paper over the area where the piece belongs.
- Use a crayon (or pencil) to stroke repeatedly over the area until an can be seen- it will be darker than the other marks.
- * Important * Hold surrounding pieces in place while making the rubbing.
- If you have all or part of the piece needing replacement, sending that will be helpful too!
- For most puzzles (maps in particular): we ask that you to email photo(s) of the area surrounding the missing piece. This will help us to color match. A picture of the entire puzzle is also helpful.
Lastly, if your puzzle is quite old, it may have been made from a thicker Ash plywood that became unavailable before 1990. Take a look at the picture of the plywood side-view. The top piece is the pre-90's Ash, and the bottom is the Birch we still use. We need to know this to best match your puzzle!
