Elegant, unique shape. Narrow base, rounded middle. During construction the piece was altered to form narrow, peaked "shoulders". A separate section was added to form the dramatic neck and rim. Beautiful surface design created by etching into a matte white clay slip that was applied over the tan clay. Bronze, metallic glaze on the bold neck-collar-rim. Thin stress fissure shown in photo 5 does not compromise the strength of the form.  Base has signature of Foelber and a hole (since piece was never intended to hold water). Stand-alone beautiful. Could have a dried or silk arrangement. Also would make a stunning lamp.
