'Abendrot' captures a Qantas plane passing through a sky saturated with the colours of sunset. Sweeping bands of yellow, orange and deep red move across the rounded canvas, gradually shifting in tone as though the last light of the day is disappearing beyond the horizon.

The title translates to "evening red", describing the warm red glow that fills the sky around sunset. The tiny aircraft is almost swallowed by the scale and intensity of the colour around it, capturing that fleeting moment when the final light of the day transforms an ordinary view overhead into something remarkable.
