Twelve ingredients, each doing specific work. The base is grass-fed suet tallow with raw organic mango butter, cold-pressed avocado butter, and cold-pressed extra virgin Italian olive oil — a deeply nourishing, fatty-acid rich foundation that absorbs without heaviness. Raw beeswax gives the balm its structure and protective seal. Food-grade bentonite clay is the formula's distinctive active: a naturally occurring volcanic mineral that gently draws impurities toward the surface and helps balance the skin, making this balm effective on blemishes and congested skin as well as dryness.
Six herbs are infused directly into the tallow: calendula for skin comfort and soothing; wild bergamot (bee balm, Monarda fistulosa) for its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties; yarrow for its traditional wound-care and astringent use; plantain leaf (the herb Plantago, not the banana) for its remarkable drawing and healing properties that traditional herbalists have used on insect bites, splinters, and irritated skin for centuries; aloe vera leaf for its cooling and soothing action; and marshmallow root for its deeply soothing mucilage content.
