The Tamago Tsuto is a traditional egg holder woven from rice straw. In times when eggs were considered precious for their nutritional value, these holders were used to wrap and protect them during transport.

Beyond its practical purpose, the Tamago Tsuto reflects Japan’s long-standing culture of thoughtful and resourceful packaging – where natural materials were skillfully used to carry and preserve daily essentials.

Each piece is handmade in Kyushu, continuing the living tradition of warazaiku (straw craft) passed down for generations. The Tamago Tsuto comes with five decorative eggs, completing its authentic form.
