Frequently-Asked Questions

What battery type does the PECRON E1000LFP use?

The E1000LFP uses a LiFePO4 battery rated for 3,500+ complete charge cycles to 80% original capacity.

What can the PECRON E1000LFP power?

The AC output can power devices that operate under 1800W, while the DC output can power devices that operate under 12V/20A.

Can the PECRON E1000LFP be used as a UPS?

Yes. The E1000LFP supports UPS function with an automatic switchover time of 8–20ms. It is recommended for loads under 1800W and is not intended for devices that require transfer time under 8ms.

Does the PECRON E1000LFP have a built-in MPPT charge controller?

Yes. It has one independent built-in MPPT controller, and the XT60 port supports 11V–60V PV input up to 600W max.

Can the PECRON E1000LFP charge and discharge at the same time?

Yes. It can charge and discharge at the same time. PECRON notes that when not in UPS mode, the average charging power must be greater than the average power being used, or the battery will eventually drain and shut down.

Can I charge the E1000LFP with solar panels?

Yes. The XT60 solar charging port supports 11V–60V input up to 600W max. The solar panel or solar array VOC must be less than 60V to avoid damage.

Can two solar panels be wired in series?

PECRON warns not to wire more than two 36V solar panels in series or more than four 18V solar panels in series. The manual also warns that the PV XT60 port only works within an 11V–60V open-circuit voltage range, and exceeding 60V can damage the unit.
