Your towel shouldn't be part of your workout.

Most gym towels are too small for a bench and have nothing holding them in place. A face towel is around 40cm wide. A bench is 55cm across and over a metre long, so your skin still ends up on vinyl someone else just used. Every rep nudges the towel further down the pad until it goes over the end and onto the floor, and then it goes back on the bench without you knowing which side was face down.

The VIVID magnetic hooded gym towel is built for the bench instead.

• Hood over the headrest. The towel is held by the equipment, not resting on top of it, so it doesn't creep down mid-set. It fits flat benches, adjustable benches and seated machines.
• Magnet strap between sets. A double strap with neodymium (NdFeB) magnets holds the towel to the rack or cable machine, so it stays off the floor when you're not on the bench. We've tested it holding 5kg doubled up on flat steel. It grips magnetic steel, which covers most racks, frames and cable stacks. It won't hold on aluminium, plastic or some stainless steel. No steel within reach? Loop the strap over a rail.
• 140 x 55cm. Covers the full length of the pad and drapes over both sides instead of perching on top.
• Zip pocket. Your phone, keys and gym pass stay with the towel.
• 300gsm microfibre terry. Raised loops take sweat in rather than pushing it around, and it air-dries in 2 to 3 hours so it doesn't stay damp in your bag.

Designed by our founder, Shane, after his own towel kept sliding off the bench (read the story). VIVID is a small, Australian-owned brand. It doubles as a car seat cover on the drive home, too.
